Kvod haRav, a man was hired through a temp agency as an administrative assistant, he worked for the firm but was paid through the agency. One day the man saw the invoices from the temp agency - they showed him classified as a receptionist which pays several dollars less per hr. than the position he was actually performing. The man stayed quiet bc he was fearful his temp position would be eliminated. Later his position became permanent but at the same pay rate. The employee had little negotiating power so he continued working but began to inflate his hours to "make up the difference". Dear Rav it seems that both parties stole from each other. Can you steal back what you are cheated from? If party A stole $8k and party B stole back $6k, would they both need to pay each other back the full amount to make Teshuva or only the net amount needs to be repaid?
