In one of the lectures I listened to where the topic of Holocaust was spoken about It seemed that the message was that the Holocaust happened due to intermarriage, Jews taking interest loans from other Jews, and homosexuality. However, is this the sole reasons for the Holocaust - Jews sins or there are possible unknown reasons for it that only Hashem knows. Also there were many very holy religious people who died in the Holocaust. My great grandmother for example was very religious and murdered by the nazis so why did the religious people pass away when they were good pure Jews ? I hope this question makes sense
