My local Chabad Rabbanit suggested I write a letter to the Lubavitcher Rebbe and send it to the Ohel for a Refuah Shalemah and/or blessings for success. I believe it is called a Goral. Can you please explain this? I’m Sephardic and I know the power of praying at the gravesites of Tzadikim such as the Lubavitcher Rebbe. But, to write a letter to the Rebbe. Is this allowed? Maybe I didn’t understand what she meant. They have a website stating you may write a letter for the Rebbe’s guidance and intervention on high as an age old tradition of written prayer petitions at our holiest sites. Is this acceptable? I know we can only direct prayers HaShem.
